Do You Have a Love/Hate Relationship With Perfume Too?
Having a lovely scent to spritz all over yourself is like a daily ritual for some, it’s a must -smelling fabulous gives us such great confidence boost. However, smelling beautiful is an expensive ritual to run, at around nearly £50 per bottle. Often I find myself savouring every spray and rationing my favorite perfumes to certain days and events. Or I wait until Christmas to see if I get gifted any perfume before contemplating buying my usual at £70 (cheeky I know).
This feeling of hate I have for my regular ridiculously priced perfume has lead me find how we can all smell expensive for much cheaper. I have sourced 10 affordable perfumes that smell just like expensive designer brands. With these scents you can spray until your heart’s content without a single worry about the cost.
Perfumes I have personally tried
Lidl Suddenly Madame Glamour- £3.99
Smell alike – Chanel Coco Mademoiselle – £49
I have personally tried both and yes this Lidl luxury smells just as amazing, in fact it might be BETTER?!
Marks and Spencers Azure Breeze – £16
Smell alike – D&G Light Blue – £42
I was so excited with this dupe. D&G is up there with one of my favorites, It’s so sweet and girly – I came across Azure Breeze whilst browsing around M&S and to my shock it’s not just the bottle that looks the same
Zara Black Peony – £9.99
Smell alike – Viktor & Rolf Flower Bomb – £44.55
I had fallen in love with Viktor and Rolf Flower Bomb last summer but I didn’t want to pay the price. Searching online for a cheaper alternative , that said this Zara scent was a close equivalent. A few weeks later I went and bought Zara Black Peony, I found that it has a slightly lighter scent to Flower Bomb. It doesn’t last as long but costing under £10 it’s a must buy and gives Flower Bomb a run for it’s money.
Next Just Pink – £12
Smell alike – Ralph Lauren Romance – £57
Reviewers have said this Just Pink smells slightly fresher than its up market rival Romance.
Smell alike – Gucci Rush – £50
Marks and Spencers True Red Eau De Toilette -£12.50
Smell alike – Hugo Boss Deep Red – £33
Marks and Spencers Butterfly – £14
Smell alike -Marc Jacobs Daisy – £39
Featured in The Sun Newspaper this is said to be one of the best bargain Dupes you can invest in.
Smell alike – Hugo Boss, Boss Bottled – £37.99
The brand Milton and lloyd have been around since the 70’s. They specialise in smell alike perfumes and ‘renditions’. They have hundreds of smell alikes to chose from at amazing prices! Milton and Lloyd fragrances come in 50ml bottles and cost anywhere from £1-£10 depending on what you want, but most cost under £5 – such a bargain. I have recently purchased 3 perfumes from this brand all for £11 on Amazon. They smell great and last longer than expected too.
On the Milton Lloyd website they have so many to choose from but the shipping costs put me off. So if you are looking for affordable alternatives to your faviroute scents check out my list below.
